It's FRIDAY! Hooray!

Made it the work-week!  Only mild crabbiness and feeling deprived. I'll take it!

So from Tuesday, I'm already down 4.3 lbs.  I'm getting closer to being in the 280s again.  So that is awesome!!  This weekend I'll have to pass on birthday cake....but I'll live. :) I'm thinking that I should be in ketosis so my body should be burning fat now.  So you might be wondering what my typical day looks like:

Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs, a couple pieces of bacon
Snack: 2 slices of cheese
Lunch: Salad with either meat or tuna salad on it, maybe some avocado, egg, cheese and some oil and vinegar for dressing
Snack: Egg or cheese or some nuts
Dinner: Meat and non starchy veggies


Meat/Cheese/Eggs are my friends.  Veggies too.  Fruit, not so much.  I think that's the hardest to rationalize. But the sugars in the fruits will knock you out of ketosis.  Berries are okay- still not something you want to have often at least in the beginning, but they're lower in sugar and high in antioxidants and whatnot.  Here we're adding healthy fats in too.  Like avocado. Yum!  

This week has been good though. It's at least making me a lot more conscious.  I've turned down candy, bagels, donuts, cake, homemade bread and muffins at work.  Our house is still full of chocolate bunnies, kit kats (my fav!!!!!), chocolate eggs and more too and I've been good. I've been tempted with chips and dip TWICE in the past 3 days and have stayed strong....and I LOVE chips and dip.  But then I think about the calories and fat that I've saved myself..... I would've had at least 15 pieces of candy (they're "fun" size......), at least one bagel, probably 2 donuts.... probably 500 calories in dip alone.  I'm just guessing but it's probably all pretty accurate.  Accurate and sad.  This brings it all to light.  Everything adds up.  The junk food, the drinks, just need to keep doing better.  

I've been making much better decisions and I'm feeling great.  I keep chugging away at my water and tea.  Keeping going.  Happy Friday you guys!!
