Winning!

Not only survived my first weekend on this plan, but rocked it completely!  I'm really proud of myself. On top of that, it's not like we were home all weekend and did nothing.  We had a birthday party where I passed up pizza and cupcakes and chose a small salad instead.  We also went to down to Eastern Market for "All Things Detroit"  Let me start off by saying, it was INSANE!!  So many people, but I'm so glad that it was such a successful event.  So many food vendors, along with all the crafty stuff.  But I had one tiny kale chip (I had checked the ingredients before sampling and they did have some carbs in it, so I didn't pick any up... plus they were kinda pricey lol) and I had a little sip (didn't even finish my sample..) of a local energy drink. Holy crap this stuff was AMAZING though.  313 Energy -- look them up!! This is made with cane sugar.  20 cals in a can, and only 5 carbs. So I mean, I would've been okay drinking it, but I'm committed here. lol  Seriously though, you need to try it. It has this awesome cherry flavor and doesn't taste like an energy drink at all.  LOVE.  Will def be getting more! Steve even loved it and he's so anti energy drink :-P

Okay, so for the numbers.  We remember that I started last Tuesday and weighed in at 297.  Today, I am down 11 lbs at 286!!!!  Holy cow!! Not even a full week! I have been so strong and dedicated to this way of eating.  I've been feeling great and not really deprived.  Sure, some pad thai or chips and dip sound amazing, but it's all good.  Each day I am getting closer to my goals.  I feel like I'm actually a decent way away from 300 now.  Thank GOD.  I'm trying to realize more and more that I am stronger than I think....that I can do more than I could imagine... that I deserve to treat myself better.  It's hard, but I am trying.  I'm proving this to myself.

This week should be pretty low key.  Not much going on.  I'm going to try to get to the gym a couple times.  That can only help :) Can't wait til my knees don't hurt from walking and where I feel more confident in my abilities.  Getting there one day at a time!

Have an amazing week everyone -

xoxo Katie
